Adjustable rate mortgages offer a lower short term fixed rate which can save you thousands of dollars of interest in the short term. HomeState mortgage offers a variety of ARM options including, 3, 7, and 10 year fixed ARMs. These types of programs offer a reduced rate for the initial fixed period of 3, 7, or 10 years. These are 30 year loans which may adjust higher after the initial fixed period expires.
